Pair of Victorian Walnut Card Tables

19th century
Description

Pair of Victorian walnut card tables

This pair of Victorian walnut card tables were made circa 1875.

Interestingly each leg has a lozenge shape registration mark branded into each leg, but we have not been able to read them as they are not clear. Perhaps you may have better luck in this. I have never seen this in a piece of furniture, but of course in other products.

The shaped and serpentine top has a good wide cross-banding running around the top.

The top swivels and opens to reveal the original baize surface (This can be replaced if required)

The solid walnut basket bases with cluster columns attached to central support.

The four elegant cabriole legs have carved toes with concealed castors under.

A pair of card tables is rare and will make great showpieces around your home.

99cms wide (39ins)

52cms deep (20 1/2ins)

75cms high (29 1/2ins)

All dimensions are approximate
