Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The crisp carvings are on the backs, all the way down the fronts from the top of the arms & across the seat rails. These chairs also have claw & ball feet. The walnut has a lovely grain & a nice warm colour. The seats look like they have been re-upholstered more recently & the fabric is still in good condition. These armchairs which date from around the 1910-20’s period, could be used in many places in the home.
