Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
There is a small hole on both sides of the onyx base, which I have only noticed. Not sure why that’s there, but you can see it in the images. The clock face is painted enamel & there are two wind up holes, so I believe there is a chimer. This clock dates to around the 1890 – 1910 period. I’m not sure whether to call it a clock, statue or a lamp.
