This is a heavy, solid piece, lovely quality and exceptional condition.
The box is made from solid Rosewood and the interior lined with the original lead lining. This was gifted at a later date as there is a later solid sterling silver shield mount to the underside of the lid, engraved "Clay Bird Shooting Won by H. Luff 1924"; the silver is fully hallmarked for London 1924 together with the makers mark for Robert Pringle.
A highly sought-after piece in excellent condition measuring 5 3/4" in diameter x 7" tall.
