Brass Mounted Mahogany Desk Armchair C.1900.

Description

Unusual brass mounted mahogany desk armchair c.1900. Solid mahogany frame with a low upholstered backrest with brass mouldings raised on turned brass spindles. Upholstered arms on turned and fluted supports with brass mounts and inlays and unusual turned pommel tops. Over a large sprung seat with a brass moulding below. Raised on turned legs, the fronts also fluted and brass mounted to match, joined with moulded and curving cross stretchers. A very sturdy chair, in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Upholstery is worn but serviceable.
