Description

A splendid mid Victorian period inlaid burr walnut bonheur du jour, or ladies writing desk. Of fine construction in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers. Decorated throughout with inlaid marquetry detailing and banding. Further embellished with crisply cast ormolu mounts. The top section has a pair of cabinet doors (lockable, key supplied) flanking the recessed central section. Beneath are a row of 3 drawers. The base section has a single drawer to the freeze. Offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
