Antique Mahogany Serpentine Chest of Drawers

1920 - 1940
Description

This antique mahogany serpentine fronted chest of drawers is of very fine quality & I would date it to around the 1920-30’s period. The top & the front are a vivid flame mahogany, with cross banded top edge & a beautiful grain pattern running all through the drawers. The drawers are graduated in depth, plus finely dovetailed with original brass handles & a lock to the third drawer down. There are six drawers in all & this chest sits on bracket feet. It’s in excellent condition & has just been polished. This chest has lovely proportions, higher than usual & a very generous serpentine shaped front.

Width – 24 inches, 61 cm

Depth – 16 inches, 41 cm

Height – 37 inches, 93 cm
