The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a calibre 727 hand-winding movement which was made for just one year, 1934.

The watch measures 20mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1936. We are happy that the dates tie up nicely and everything is just as it should be. Waltham USA exported its movements to Waltham UK to be cased, usually by the Dennison Watch Case Company, in readiness for onward retail. Indeed this particular case has the ALD mark inside the hinged case back for Aaron Dennison. The case is in lovely condition with just light surface marks from use.

The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed black dial is in its original finish with original hands and an inner minute track.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
