Sterling Silver Photograph Frame - Engine Turned Decoration - 1927

Description

A smart vintage sterling silver photograph frame with the original solid English Oak backing incorporating a folding easel stand.

The silver has a very attractive engine turned decoration with a mosaic of hexagonal motifs, almost like a honeycomb design. There is a rectangular vacant cartouche to the bottom.

The silver is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1927 together with the makers initials for J W Tiptaft & Son Ltd.

Excellent condition measuring 6 1/2" x 4 5/8" with a glazed aperture measuring 5 3/4" x 4".
