Victorian Button Back Two Seat Sofa with Iron Frame

Description

An unusual Victorian iron framed two seat sofa, the shaped deep button back over a pair of scroll arms and a serpentine shaped sprung seat, raised on turned front supports with original brass and porcelain castors. Upholstered in a vintage gold damask velvet.

A very comfortable sofa in excellent condition. The upholstery is very clean with no stains or damage. The iron framed back has a certain amount of give which makes the sofa particularly comfortable. The scroll arms are joined to the back the sofa by fabric covered iron bars which is an unusual feature.
