19th Century Wooden Thermos Field Kitchen Food Warmer,

This is a very old thermos food warmer, it is a wooden box with a brass tap at the bottom and a small brass handle on either side, ideal for a picnic or shooting party

The wooden box is padded and lined, and fitting very tightly inside this, the metal flask, which has double thickness for a beverage in the centre and hot water on the outside . Of course it could be filled with ice to keep a summer drink cold

Very rare, the box is 14.5” high, and 11” x 11”
