This is a large antique armchair, an Italian 'X' frame chair finished in a velvet cloth, 17th century revival dating to circa 1900.

Of generous proportions

In the Italian 17th century manner

Padded back rest and loose cushion

Finished in a quality red velvet cloth showing expected light marks consistent with age and use

Trimmed with tassels to the arms and backrest

Standing upon stout 'X' frame legs, decorated with a paterae
