A truly superb silver and guilloche enamel hand mirror. The quality of the enamelling and the colour is stunning: the most exquisite, graduated baby blue to silver, in a sunburst design with swags decoration. The mirror is bevelled glass and is spotless and clear.
Clear hallmarks are visible just below the mirror for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1939 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silvermaker''s mark can be identified as W G Sothers Ltd (the W is rubbed).
