Description

A rare and fabulous large photograph frame made from gilded bronze, a good solid frame smothered in gold and inset with sparkling soft paste stones creating a piece of Hollywood glamour.

The top is crowned by a singe large tied ribbon and bow, again inset with glittering stones.

The back and front retain the original bevelled glass (one tiny flake to the glass at the back, insignificant but shown and mentioned for accuracy). The hinged back is opened with three top quality catches to one side, beautifully made. The easel back is stamped "France" and clearly made for the famous US retailer, "Stern Brothers, New York".

A showstopper in excellent condition measuring 10 3/4" tall x 6 1/2" wide x 1" thick with the glazed aperture measuring 7 3/4" x 5 5/8".
