Antique Solid Sterling Silver Sugar Caster 1938

1920 - 1940
Description

A fine example of a solid Sterling Silver sugar caster. It is a stylish good quality piece of good size, weighing approximately 298g. It is clearly hallmarked for Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd, London, 1938 and it is also engraved with a letter A initial. It is approximately 8" (20cm) high and the base diameter is 3" (8cm).

It is in excellent condition. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and minor dings commensurate with age but nothing detrimental. The underneath has been lightly engraved '1500 R/FO/'. It has been lightly cleaned and polished is ready for use.
