Small Georgian Oak Bureau C.1800.

Description

Charming little late Georgian oak clerk’s desk or bureau c.1800. Open the fall to reveal a good sized work space (height 31½") and fitted interior with pigeon holes and three slim mahogany drawers for stationery, pens etc. With two larger drawers below with cockbeaded fronts and turned oak knobs. Raised on fine turned oak legs front and rear. Solid oak sides and mahogany drawer linings. Note the single piece oak fall with its unusual mitred cleat ends which have kept it perfectly flat and true over the years. Excellent condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
