Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

The 35-day movement is extraordinary, being an absolutely faithful Victorian copy of a late 17th century clock, with finned pillars; finely cut blued steel hands; delicate matting to the centre of the dial; cast cherubs-head spandrels and engraved herringbone dial surround. The two-part pendulum (with an ingenious latched fastening clasp) reaches almost to the floor, thus providing a one-and-a-half second beat.
Signed: "Lenygon Londini Fecit" (maker thus far untraced) to the lower edge of the dial. This is truly a remarkable and GORGEOUS clock of the very highest quality. Thoroughly recommended.
