Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The fall front, which has carving to its edges, drops down to reveal 9 pigeon holes and 4 small drawers to the interior. To the fall has a carved fretwork frieze and the feet and pelmet are beautifully carved with acanthus leaf and scroll work. It comes with 2 working keys, one which locks the fall and one which locks all of the drawers. A really good quality bureau and of a really good size.

Good colour and patina. Some old repairs to the feet. Some chips to corners of fall (see photos). Other wear and marks commensurate with age.
