Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
This is a particularly rare Constellation with the early 501 chronometer movement 24 jewels, adjusted to five positions and temperature controlled, it appears to have been in production for just one year before being replaced by the more common 505 movement.
The dial is a rare white two tone, the change in colour tone is caused by the graining of the substrate and to the eye appears to change tone according to the angle of view. It is in mint condition having been fully restored.
The constellation symbol on the back of the case is bright and crisp.
It has the Omega logo on the winding crown and a genuine Omega buckle.
A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished so it is in superb condition.
It has a 18ct gold case which is very heavy and measures 35mm in diameter excluding the winding crown.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
It comes complete with a new premium quality brown leather strap and a presentation box to keep your watch in perfect condition.

The watch has been fully serviced by and is guaranteed to be a genuine Omega in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
