Description

A lovely Victorian visiting card case smothered in tiles of Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell with a bright shiny patina showcasing the iridescent quality of this highly collectable example.

The case is hinged with a push button to one side. Once opened, the original silk lining together with the original paper fanned compartments is revealed, lovely condition.

The front of the case is mounted with a sterling silver cartouche.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3" x 3/4". Victorian in era dating to c.1860.
