Description

Gents 1960s boxed Rotary GT automatic wrist watch.

At the time, the watch was advertised as having a robustness but at the same time being elegant with a chic sporty appearance.

This particular watch has an automatic movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in lovely condition. The case back is stainless steel.

The lens is also in great condition.

The dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds and a date display, unusually at the 6 o'clock position. The date is an early form of quickset where the hands are moved backwards and forwards repeatedly between 12 midnight and 9pm until the desired date is reached.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a Rotary presentation box from Watches of Switzerland.
