Large Victorian Sterling Silver Heart Box - Goldsmith's & Silversmith's - 1899

Description

A wonderfully romantic and highly decorative sterling silver repousse box, in this highly sought-after heart shape.

The domed lid has a central vacant cartouche which could be engraved if desired.

The lid fits well and the hinge is in perfect working condition. Both top and bottom have an English hallmark, the full mark is for London 1899, a true Victorian example.

The underside is blessed with the signature of top-notch retailer Goldsmith's & Silversmith's, Regent St. London and also the highly desirable English design registration number.

Excellent condition with a good gilded interior. Measuring 3" x 3 1/4".
