Description

A Superb quality marquetry inlaid Edwardian Period antique bookcase. The upper section with a stepped and moulded cornice above a marquetry inlaid frieze and having twin astragal glazed doors, which open to reveal four adjustable mahogany shelves with trailing harebell inlaid detail, flanking each door. The lower section having twin mahogany lined drawers with figured mahogany fronts with fine marquetry and pen-work inlay and having a cast brass handle, above two panelled doors with wonderful marquetry and pen-work inlaid detail, stamped Mawer & Stephenson, London. Having solid mahogany sides and supported on a solid mahogany plinth. English circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 90" high x 48" wide at base x 45" wide at top x 19" deep at base x 12" deep at top

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed

A Superb quality marquetry inlaid Edwardian Period antique bookcase.
