Gorgeous mid Victorian Garnet & Peridot ring.
This unique ring is hand crafted in 12 carat gold.
Set to the centre with a beautiful red almandine garnet.
Flanked by two wonderful olive green old cut Peridots.
The two old cut Peridots are about 3.5 mm wide and the oval garnet is 5mm x 4mm.
The Garnet & Peridots are claw & bezal set in yellow gold in a beautiful open scroll setting.
This is completed by lavish scroll detail to the shoulders.
The head is 9.5 mm at the widest point.
This ring dated to the mid/late Victorian.
It has various marks that are difficult to decipher due to past resizing,it is marked 12 carat and it bears the makers initials JA.
It is properly hallmarked London 1882 or possibly Birmingham 1855.
The size P 1/2 (UK). 8 (USA), it would easily re size.
This antique ring is in excellent vintage condition.
It comes in the presentation box illustrated.
