An Unusual Barograph

1900 - 1920
Description

An unusual Barograph.

The barograph in a walnut case, the lift off lid with bevelled glass panels. The mechanism with an 8 day movement, the eleven bellows working the articulated arm to the nib, to record the barometer pressure onto the recording paper. The bellows further working the dial to indicate weather conditions. The barograph by Pollock & Stewart, 41 Renfield Street, Glasgow. The whole on a mould edge base, with a frieze drawer for the recording papers. The base raised up on small circular feet.

Height 9 inches, width 14 1/2 inches, depth 8 1/2 inches.
