Ellen de Tombay (St. Gallen / Switzerland, 1918 - Altea / Spain, 1998)trained at the Liège Academy at Mambour and Ochs and in the Barazzutti workshop in Rome. She paints elegant figures, youth, sun, holidays, romantic compositions with girls and young women. She found much of her inspiration in the South of France and in Spain. She painted in a bright and impressionistic palette. In the press it was commented, "With Ellen de Tombay, the art of painting goes back to basics, her art is a real source of dreams and joy". Member of the "Fédération Feminine Artistique Belge"
