Large Embossed Victorian Antique Silver Sugar Shaker 1888

Description

This stunning VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER SUGAR SHAKER was made by the well-known silversmiths of Sibray Hall & Co. in 1888.

Standing on a raised stepped base and of classic baluster shape, this fabulous Silver Sugar Shaker has an all-over embossed decoration of leaves & scrolls and has two blank cartouche.

The pull-off lid is beautifully pierced and finished with a silver finial and to the inside, this high quality Antique Sugar Shaker retains its original gilt coating.

In excellent condition despite being 130 years old, this outstanding Sugar Shaker would look superb in any table setting or could enhance any Silver collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

One very small dink to the side – nothing noticeable but mentioned for accuracy.

Dimensions:

Height – 8.0” (200 mm) / Diameter – 3.25” (82 mm)

Weight – 188 gm / 6.04 ozt.
