Antique Cut Crystal and Sterling Silver Vanity Jar - Doves - 1903

Description

Pretty as a picture and wonderfully detailed, this English Edwardian dressing table jar is made from cut crystal in the ever popular hobnail design.

The jar is topped with a wonderful solid or sterling silver repousse decorated centered around a large cartouche, untouched and could be engraved if desired. One side of the cartouche is a sitting Dove and the other side a Dove in flight.

The English silver hallmark is buried within the decorative lid for Birmingham 1903 together with the makers mark B & Co for Broadway and Company.

Excellent condition without damage and measuring 3 1/8" tall with the lid diameter measuring 3".
