The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a high grade stem-winding movement,which is working well. The movement is signed Rode Watch Co, 17 seventeen jewels, 5 five adjustments, Swiss made. The movement also has jewelled pallets and a micro regulator. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece. The front cover has a small lens surrounded by blued enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside the acrylic lens is in nice condition.
Note the special hour hand for half hunter watches, so that the hands can be distinguished between when the front cover is closed.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
