Exquisite French Palais Royal Ormulu Mounted Opaline Glass Dish, Circa 1850

Description

This fabulous French Empire style bronze doré and opaline glass dish dates circa 1850. The white opalescent glass body finely painted with fine floral sprays reminiscent of 18th C. Sèvres porcelain decorations. Raised on a decorative gilt bronze acanthus leaf pedestal foot. Mounted with a gilt bronze border with conforming decorations.

Condition:

Excellent.

Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.

Strong hinge.

Ormulu decorations in excellent condition.

Dimensions:

Height: 10cm / 4 inches.

Diameter: 6cm cm / 3.2 inches
