Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
This commode has the original marble top, which is also in good condition & that can just be lifted off. It’s also has gilt bronze mounts, trimmings, handles, escutcheons & feet. The gilt bronze is all fine quality & well cast. There are so many amazing features on this piece that I couldn’t possibly describe them all so please enlarge all the images. I particularly like the marquetry in the middle of the cherub playing the flute surrounded by the laurel wreath. I would date this commode to around the 1910 period.
