Art Deco World has dated this piece to the 1930s.
He is signed on one side which reads 'Le Boum' which before you google means 'The boom'. The wood is palisender which is a relative of the Brazilian Rosewood family. He has glass eyes and a bakelite sticking out red tongue. He's an absolute delight and I'm sure any Art Deco collector or otherwise will love him upon meeting. Everything works as it should, the condition is very good with just age related marks to the metal work which is silver plated. This bundle of joy wouldn't have been cheap in his day certainly only for the wealthy, perhaps one could say that also applies for today.
