Victorian Stained Glass Lantern

19th century
Description

Circa 1880-1910 an all original Victorian stained glass lantern in a very unusual but beautiful colour, and it has proved difficult to show the exact shade in the photographs.

The glass is made up of two shades of lighter and slightly darker shades of glass diagonally opposite each other with a beautiful etched clear and purple glass flower in the centre of each panel. The lantern is in very good condition with no signs of damage anywhere.

The highly decorative brass frame has been left 'as is' but we could lightly polish it to highlight the details if requested. Some of our customers prefer us to leave well alone.

The light measures 45cm up to the attached ceiling fitting and the sides are approximately 28.5 in length and 17cm across.

It has been rewired to UK specifications and the cable holding the lightbulb can be lowered further into the lantern once in position and there is a short length of chain with it.

Postage and packing within the UK mainland only is included in the price and for outside areas or abroad, please contact us for a delivery quote.
