Magnificent and Grand English Sterling Silver Photograph Frame - 1910

Description

A wonderful large and impressive decorative photograph frame made from English sterling silver with a mahogany backing incorporating a folding easel stand.

The shaped frame is beautifully decorated with a lovely shaped glazed aperture. The silver is fully hallmarked for the highly collectable Chester assay office and the year 1910; the makers initials are also present for the silversmith's, J & R Griffin - Joseph & Richard Griffin.

Excellent condition measuring 14 1/4" tall x 9 3/8" wide x 3/4" thick with the aperture measuring 8 7/8" x 6 5/8".
