Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
Retaining the original tooled leather skiver and with a single oak lined drawer below, flanked with swept supports with a carved detail also repeated on the rear. Raised on particularly good turned reeded and fluted legs with the original castors by Cope & Collinson. Clearly stamped Lamb Manchester on the top of the drawer front. Obvious wear to the leather which could be replaced if preferred. Otherwise excellent condition.

Sold together with a matching oak chair, also by Lamb. With an unusual H shaped back rest between turned and fluted stiles with round pommel tops. Seat freshly upholstered in a grey chenile, raised on turned and fluted legs with brown pot castors. Stamped on the underside.
