A lovely 19th century oil painting of John the baptist , depicted as a child sat down cuddling the lamb of god, inset in a gilt frame. The picture is well painted and is in completely untouched country house condition.

The painting has some losses to the paint in areas and surface ware and is very dirty , However if it was restored would look a completely different picture. The frame has also got some losses to the gesso molding and ware to the gilding, commiserate with age.
