Fine Large Antique English Jewellery Box with Cut Crystal Perfume Bottles C.1900

Description

A fabulous large late Victorian jewelry box made from walnut with brass fittings including two side handles, all professionally polished to gleam.

The top of the dome lid has a small brass vacant cartouche mounted in the centre. The hinged lid lifts to reveal a fully fitted interior having been professionally re-lined to create a fresh, clean finish which includes a padded ring bank to accommodate eight rings.

The interior of the lid is fitted with a mirror and the rear compartment of the box retains the four original cut crystal scent bottles, all without damage.

There are three generous drawers below all with pairs polished brass handles which create a lovely show through the two original bevelled glass doors to the front. Dating to c.1890/1900, late Victorian in era, this is one of the best of this type of box I have had the pleasure of offering; a superb box to enjoy for many years to come.

11" x 8 3/4" x 10 1/4" tall.
