Pair Victorian Spelter Cherub Lamps

19th century
Description

Circa 1880-1910 a pair of spelter lamps that have recently been rewired to UK specifications using black flex cable, and take a standard bayonet fitting lightbulb.

They measure 50cm in total in height; 43 in height up to the top of the palm leaves below the lamp holders; and the bases are about 23cm across.

They are a matching pair ie. a right and a left as shown by the curve of the arms of the cherubs. The decorative bases are original and everything is in good condition bar a tiny piece missing from the tip of a leaf at the top on one figure, and a tiny piece of edge from the curved foot at the base of one lamp (see photo 3 at the right hand side). The price reflects the two minor imperfections.

They weigh approximately 3.7kgs each.

Postage and packing for the UK mainland only is included in the price and for outside areas or abroad, please contact us for a delivery quote.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
