~ French - Circa 1880 ~

~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A lovely original antique French Rococo boudoir clock. Modelled in gilt brass and typically bold, waisted design with laurel leaves, 'C' scrolls and floral swags. There is a large and elaborate acanthus finial to the top of the case. The dial is the sought after cream enamel on copper with blue lettering and is complete with original finely fretted Rococo hands. It has a separate minute ring and has a Rococo acanthus bezel.

The French movement is by Vincenti et Cie and is of the maker's usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video available of the clock running, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some minor wear and discolouration, particularly to the rear. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage. A beautiful Rococo clock ready for you to display.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
