Description

An early Victorian mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case of good proportions with a swan neck pediment and the original brass finial. Choice mahogany veneers to the case. Well silvered engraved hygrometer, thermometer, convex mirror, level and main dial with a country scene.

J Gilardini of Bristol is listed in Banfields' Barometer makers and retailers' book as working from circa 1835-1855.
