A Georgian mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case with an architectural pediment and original brass finial. Fine marquetry inlays to the case and banding to the edges. Well silvered engraved long scale thermometer and main dial.

Torre & Co of 12 Leigh St, Red Lion Square London is listed in Banfields 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1805-1830. This example dates to circa 1815.
