A quality English twin fusee mantel/table clock with rare feature of quarter striking on 2 bells. A burr walnut case standing on bun feet with side handles. A scrolled pediment surmounted by a pineapple finial. A gilt dial with finely engraved center and signed 'James Murray & Co, Royal Exchange'. A twin fusee mechanism with 'ting-tang' quarter striking on 2 bells. Circa 1870.

James Murray (& Co) worked in London from 1828-1881 as noted in Loomes 'Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World' book.
