A Lovely Regency Silver Mounted Pepperette

A gorgeous silver mounted pepperette from the Regency period of the early 19th Century. This delightful example has an ovoid, tapering body with hobnail diamonds and panel cutting, which are repeated on the hexagonal base. The pull-off lid is hallmarked and has light bright cut engraving. A wonderful example from the Georgian dining table, both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good with no splits or losses to the silver. The glass is very good with a manufacturing flaw to the rim above the foot, which is not damage and shown in photo.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable, Town mark missing.

Date :- Sheffield 1812.

Base dimensions :- 2.5 cms. x 2.5 cms.
