For sale this fine rare Great Western Railway 8-day signal box tool clock no 0500 by Smiths, dating pre-1939. Fitted in its original Oak doughnut case with its original Smiths 8 days movement with a platform escapement and is in full working order keeping time. Fully signed original dial with the GWR signature and numbered 0500 along with Smiths 8 day and Made in England. This great little clock shows signs of a hard-working tool clock, the original and unrestored dial showing some ageing as shown in the pics. The well-turned Oak case is in original condition and will polish up well, one shallow front rim chip from long ago, original front bezel and plastic glass. Size 14.9cm in diameter by 9cm deep including the lens. A rare clock.
