A Lovely 18th Century Portrait of a Lady

Description

A lovely late 18th century portrait of a lady , painted and signed by William Whitby 1772- 1791. The painting is very well painted and brilliantly executed but is in country house condition and could do with some minor restoration and a good clean as there is a small rip to the right side of the picture and some losses to the gesso frame. The picture has had an old repair in the past but overall is in very good condition.

Provenance - Ex Bishton Hall , Staffordshire

- Ex Midlington House , Droxford , Hampshire
