A Rare Silver & Royal Doulton Novelty Match Striker

A most unusual silver mounted match striker from the Art Deco era and assayed in Birmingham. This interesting example has a Royal Doulton ceramic body finished in a 'sponge like' surface for striking and an unusual all silver reservoir to hold the matches. An interesting collector's item and good gift idea. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks to the body and no serious dents or splits to the silver. There are a few minor dings to the silver commensurate with age and use.

Date :- Birmingham 1931.

Diameter :- 9 cms (widest point).
