Small Georgian Style Sofa C.1890.

Description

Charming little late 19th.c. George II style two seater sofa or window seat c.1890. Just 40" wide, the padded seat and backrest freshly upholstered in a linen fabric printed in pale green with a striking pattern of insect specimens. Raised on large mahogany cabriole front legs with carved foliate detail to the knees and splendid hairy paw feet. Swept back legs also in mahogany. Excellent condition.
