Large Pair Of Japanese Bronze & Mixed Metal Monkey Vases- Hamada Yoshifumi

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this large and most amusing pair of Meiji period 1868-1912 , Bronze and mixed metal Cylindrical vases , circa 1890, the artist has finely carved the Bronze vases with a scene of numerous Mixed metal Monkeys clambering in Persimmon Trees ,with adult Monkeys preening their young amidst a lakeside setting, many of the Primates, Fruits and foliage has been onlaid to the Bronze vases in mixed alloys , including Silver , Shakudo and Shibuichi , the base of the vases further decorated with mixed metal decorated Dragons chasing flaming Pearls, the underside of the tall slender vases are artist signed in a incised six character signature , translated to read Hamada Yoshifumi, a recorded Meiji period metalworker , a fine addition to your Japanese works of art collection .
