A fabulous pair of Japanese Meiji period Satsuma vases by Shozan for the Koshida company, each beautifully painted with a continuous landscape scene around the body including Mount Fuji in the background with people at leisure in the foreground, finished with exquisite borderwork at the rim. Both vases are signed by Shozan with the Koshida mark on the underside and both are in excellent condition standing 6 ½ inches tall.
