Exceptional George IV Hanging Corner Cabinet

18th century
Description

An attractive and eminently useful late George III or George IV mahogany hanging CORNER CABINET in remarkably original condition.

Surmounted by an elegant pediment with a central panel of 'flame' mahogany, with carved arcading below, the two doors opens to reveal four shaped shelves within. The eliptical glazing bars to these doors are charming, whilst the shelves all retain their original paintwork.

The sides are inlaid with boxwood 'panelling' and the working lock and key are also original. Remarkable for its untouched, almost mint condition. 44.5ins high; 27ins wide. (113 x 69cms).
